I am such a bad blogger ...I serious need to schedule time to write I think ..
With The Festival of Crafts coming up at the end of next month -- we have been sewing like crazy and life keeps intruding on our plans.
Last week, dear hubby & I had an impromptu trip to Boston -- a city that we had never visited before.
The main purpose was a dear family friend, she might as well be another daughter in our little family, was able to get 2 tickets to see Stephen King at Harvard doing a reading from his latest book, Dr Sleep and a question/answer session.
First off -- Stephen King SCARES me, he can take the most innocuous thing and freak you out with it! So going was a bit of a stretch for me -- but I am such a huge reader -- how could I turn down seeing an honest to goodness literary rock star??
It was awesome ...oh my -- he is very personable. And to top the evening off -- he had signed only 250 books and they were being distributed out randomly ...and both Ashley & I scored one each! We were giddy and a little silly with the excitement of it!
For our trip -- I have a thing where I like to have a new travel bag ...a little quirky I know. Generally, it isn't finished until the day of the trip because ...well ....I am crazy.
This bag was no exception ....I wanted to make another Mail Sack (by Pink Chalk) and I started on the weekend before going ...I had a plan on how I wanted it to look and like usual ...it didn't turn out that way.
I used a charm pack of Get A Clue With Nancy Drew and denim -- and I love the way it turned out. I also have to admit up front -- the only reason that bag was done was because Chrissy took it away from her spazzy mom and did the sewing!! (I tend to get frantic prior to a trip!)
I love the lining -- it just POPPED against the denim and it was the perfect size for our trip!
So -- I will sign off for now with a wish that the next entry in my blog won't be as long coming!!

Taking the plunge!
Why a blog?
Why not -- I figure this would be a good place to document some of the fun things that Christina, Shannon & I are up to with our sewing.
With our little business, Quattro Designs, we would like to start an on-line following ...just to keep our friends and family up to date on our crazy sewing adventures!
I am not sure how we will post ...but we will give a good try!
I will be back later with a more detailed picture of what we are doing!
Stay tuned for future postings!
